2017 has been the most successful season in the Shepperton Cricket Club’s history. In the Men’s section, the 2nd eleven won the league and promotion by winning all 16 of the games played – (as far as we know) this is the first time this has ever been achieved by any club – certainly the first time this millennium!

The Rotary Club of Shepperton and Sunbury were present at the Sunbury Regatta selling “Purple4Polio” crocus corms. Polio is a crippling and potentially deadly infectious disease caused by the poliovirus.

This month we celebrate all that is Shepperton: Voted Most Courteous Town 2017 it also has a wonderful independent charity caring for and rehoming hedgehogs, as well as an artisan bakery – both in Old Charlton Lane funnily enough!

Congratulations to pupils from Thamesmead who proved again that the school really does have talent. The annual battle of Thamesmead’s Got Talent saw 16 entries. Auditions were held over 3 days earlier this year and thereafter followed two months of rehearsing.
