Fund Raising Dinner to Support Local Samaritans

North West Surrey Samaritans are set to benefit from a charity dinner. Entitled The Dinner for Wonderful Women, it is on Tuesday 21st April 2015 at Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher from 7pm.

The Dinner welcomes up to 200 ladies who are encouraged to ‘dress in something they feel comfortable in’ – anything from a cocktail dress to bike leathers! It is an opportunity for women to get together, celebrate friendships and share some of the wonderful things that they achieve. The event is organised by Diana Boulter of Stargazer Events who every year arranges a speaker. Last year we laughed at the tall tales of Christine Hamilton. This year’s speaker is the TV and radio presenter Frances Edmonds.

The dinner is £55 per person (but only £45 each if booked and paid for before 28th February). So book early and save £10 for a great evening out with a welcome drink, two course meal and raffle. It is also an opportunity to network with some amazing women within our community.

Remember all proceeds from the Dinner go directly to supporting the hard work and volunteers who keep our local Samaritans branch open 24/7. Every Samaritans branch is a standalone charity and is responsible for paying its way. Fundraising is essential. It costs around £30k every year to run the branch. Last year In North West Surrey alone the 120 volunteers handled over 35,000 callers on the telephone, email, SMS text and face-to-face.

If you feel you need to talk, the Samaritans can be contacted at any time of the day or night on 01932 844444.

Diana Boulter is based in Walton upon Thames and her principal business (DBA Speakers) provides guest speakers for any occasion.
