A group of musicians from around the world has collaborated online to create a music video that provides joy and inspiration at a time when this is much needed. The video is going viral on social media.
More than 2/3rds of adults in the world are reported to have elevated levels of worry, stress and anxiety about their future, due to the impact of Covid on their lives. ANOTHER, a music video by Blue Skies Project, depicts the challenges faced by people in this global crisis and salutes the heroes who have made a difference through acts of duty, kindness and compassion. It inspires each one of us to “wake up”, step out of our own circumstances, and BE a contribution to others.
The Blue Skies Project has teamed up with BNI Swans, a business networking group based in Shepperton, to raise funds for SUR-PLUS TO SUPPER, a local charity, who are doing tremendous work in bridging the gap between food waste and food poverty. 85 volunteers operate 7 days a week, making over 200 food collections from various sources of waste food every week, convert it into 2000 meals and route it to those who need it the most.
SURPLUS TO SUPPER is looking to build a storage unit on their site so they can expand and support more people in need. The Blue Skies Project has pledged to raise £5000, which will be matched by Microsoft and help Surplus fund the rapid expansion planned.
