Lyn (Queenie) Wakerell ives in Harfield Road, Sunbury-On-Thames and has lived there for over 50 years. On July 3rd she celebrates her 90th birthday so Sunbury Matters wanted to make her feel special! HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEENIE!
Queenie lives with husband Bob and they have been married for over 60 years. Bob will turn 94 on July 10th so this is a double birthday month. They have no children of their own but have an extended family of niece Wendi, 5 great nieces / nephews plus 4 (soon to be 5) great, great nieces and nephews.
Queenie has been a member of the WWI for many years and amongst others is a member of the Riverside Arts Association. Queenie is apparently an avid reader of Sunbury Matters and clearly very much a Sunbury stalwart.
Given the current situation she will not be celebrating quite as she may like to but we feel sure that her birthday will not pass by unnoticed. With so many friends, neighbours and family, there may just be a surprise or two in store.
