Big Tree Night

Wednesday 13th December from 5pm

It’s that time of year and Big Tree Night will be back in our High Street on Wednesday 13th December from 5pm. We’re so excited to be running the event again this year and we be-lieve it’s going to be bigger and better than ever.

Santa and his reindeer will be in our magical new grotto, outside the library, ready to welcome the children. To get us into the Christmas spirit, we will have carol and festive singing and dancing throughout the evening on the stage by the Big Tree (decked in great new lights) with local schools and groups to entertain you.

We have more stalls than ever lining the High Street – gifts, crafts, community and charity and, of course, delicious food and drink to keep us going on a winter’s evening. There will be fair-ground rides for the younger children and our wonderful local steam engines will be making an appearance. The Village Hall will be open to provide warmth and shelter (and loos!) with char-ity stalls hosted by Aurora Rotary/Greeno.

As always, the Big Tree Night Committee and helpers (all volunteers) have been working really hard behind the scenes to make this year’s event extra special. We would like to thank all our volunteers and generous sponsors, in particular, Shepperton Studios for the new lights on the Big Tree and Maureen Attewell, who make this event possible.

The event opens at 5pm and Santa and his reindeer will be outside the library around 6:30pm. We’re really looking forward to seeing you on the night!

Chantal, Rita, Niki, Jane and all of the BTN committee

Note!

The High Street will be closed from 3:30pm-10pm so please plan accordingly.

The slip-roads by the shops will also close from 1pm to allow stall holders and fairground rides to set up so all cars should be removed from the slip roads by then!
