I attended my first jubilee celebration way back on May 18th! It could not have been a better early summers afternoon and residents, staff and guests en-joyed an after-noon tea with prosecco, sand-wiches and little sweet treats. We were at Churchill’s River-view Lodge in Shepperton. The communal liv-ing room had been decked out with bunting and union flags, as well as a cut out of the Queen. I have a feeling this was to be the first of many such events and I was glad to be a part of it.
