Community Events Gaining Momentum

Despite the heat there was a fantastic array of plants donated or offered as swaps at the first get2getherlocally Pop Up Plant Swap on Saturday 17th July held in Staines.

Many came to enjoy the afternoon and a fine array of herbs, vegetables, fruits plus indoor and outdoor plants were swapped and everyone was pleased with their swap or find!

Any plants left over where offered FREE to the community, post event and were all taken to be enjoyed. Nichola Cornes, Founder of get2getherlocally CIC, said, “we hope this will become an annual event and welcome all who are interested in gardening to join our Facebook Group G2GL Spelthorne Plant Swap.”

The next event for get2getherlocally is the Staines South Jumble Trail (see ad on p21) which will be held on Sunday 12th Sept. For more details visit them on Facebook.
