With no Staines-upon-Thames Day this year and therefore no Duck Races, MidasPlus have decided to run a VIRTUAL DUCK RACE to raise funds so that they can continue to help people locally. The prize for the winner is a trip for 2 people to the top of the Shard to enjoy the view followed by a Three Course Meal for 2 at Marco Pierre White’s London Steakhouse Co.
The race will be held on ZOOM at 5pm on Friday 14th August. There will be a maximum of 100 ducks which can be reserved for a minimum of £5 each. To reserve your duck, to donate to MidasPlus or for more information please go to https://midasplus.org.uk/virtual-duck-race/.
MidasPlus is a small registered charity, based in Staines-upon-Thames. We help local people in need, usually people who have nowhere else to turn. We are often their last resort! All the work we do is on a voluntary basis, nobody is paid – all the money raised goes directly to those needy people. We raise our funds by working with local companies who want to enhance their CSR or their reputation & presence in this area and can show them exactly who benefits from their funding. They can use this to demonstrate to their clients, staff and potential employees how they support the local community. We also hold fun events like the Duck Races at Staines-upon-Thames Day.
