Electric Lisa to Support St Nicks Charity Ball

She has wowed crowds all over the world with her outstanding electric violin playing and sultry vocals. Celebs acclaim her, with Roger Moore describing her as “simply fantastic”.  Now living in Shepperton, I went to meet Lisa Rollin.

Overlooking a  green  stands an imposing Georgian house which  Lisa Rollin and her partner Michael bought and restored last year and have since been plugging in to the local community.

Although a classically trained musician, Lisa came to the scene at the time the sultry Vanessa Mae was seen frolicking in the surf playing the violin. All of a sudden the violin was sexy. This non stuffy approach appealed to Lisa whose flamboyant nature and love of the limelight was more show biz than orchestra. All it took was an introduction to the electric violin and her path was set.

Her solo show is flamboyant, theatrical and energetic. You may have seen the crazy but marvellous Lettice Rowbotham play the electric violin in last years Britain’s Got Talent. So you have the general idea. As well as wowing the crowds with her solo performances Lisa runs both a two and four piece group; Red Hot Strings and Blayz. It is Lisa’s unique talent as an all-rounder; violinist/vocalist/dancer that really makes her stage performances riveting.

Throughout her career, Lisa has appeared on countless television shows and played with artists as diverse as: Il Divo, Kanye West and Simply Red.
She has performed at countless
prestigious events including the
Bahrain Formula 1 and the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi where her group was mobbed by crowds.
Lisa and Michael have certainly integrated into the community.

Michael was out filling sandbags during the February flooding. The couple are members of the Desborough sailing club and Lisa herself takes part in freshwater swimming in Shepperton lakes .

The couple are tying the knot next year at St Nicholas church.
Talking of St Nicholas Church, Lisa will be performing at the 400th anniversary ball on Friday November 7th at Shepperton Studios which will raise money for work on this historical monument.

Tickets are available now by contacting Julia Jelley on 01932 883922 or email juliafjelley@yahoo.com.
Lisa will also be performing at the London Press Club Ball at the Royal Courts of Justice on October 9th.
Blayz and Red Hot Strings are available for
weddings, corporate events and private performances.
