Village Matters

Issue 7

In this month’s issue, the Molesey History Society tells us of the Modernist Howard Houses that went up in West Molesey in the 1930’s.
Some still exist today. If you do live in one, I would love to hear from you.

We also hear about John Croker, the Molesey Parliamentarian, widely acknowledged to have coined the name “Conservatives”, and we also learn about James Sadler, a pioneer balloonist who set off from Moulsey Hurst in 1785.

As ANZAC day is approaching we also hear of the New Zealand military hospital that was sited in Walton. Della Reynolds continues here wildlife blog, and we get an update from both our local MP, Dominic Raab and the Molesey Residents Association.
